WILLIAMSBURG — Williamsburg officials are asking for public input on a proposed program that aims to improve rental housing.
There will be three input sessions for Rent Ready Williamsburg, a voluntary rental certification program designed to improve the quality, safety and community integration of off-campus housing near William & Mary.
Hosted by the city’s Planning and Codes Compliance Department, the sessions will be held at 3 p.m. at the Stryker Center on Aug. 28, 6:30 p.m. at the Sadler Center in Tidewater B on Sept. 18, and 6 p.m. at the Stryker Center again on Sept. 30. Williamsburg City Council will consider the program’s adoption this November or December.
The program is one of 27 concepts identified by a committee that met between 2019 and 2020 to address neighborhood stability
