The Chicago Blackhawks have signed No. 3-overall draft pick Anton Frondell to a three-year, entry-level contract.
Frondell scored 11 goals and dished out 14 assists in 29 regular season games with Djurgardens IF in Sweden last season, earning Rookie of the Year honors and helping his team to earn promotion to the top-flight SHL in the process.
He has also been a star on the international stage for Sweden, racking up 15 goals and 19 assists in 30 games for the Swedish U-18 team in international play, according to Elite Prospects.
Those performances helped Frondell to be the top-ranked European skater heading into the 2025 draft, according to NHL Central Scouting.
He ultimately was the second forward taken in the draft, with the San Jose Sharks selecting Saginaw Spirit center Michael Mis
