Heat fans just got something more to be excited about after Wednesday night, when they selected former Illinois guard Kasparas Jakučionis with the 20th pick in the 2025 NBA Draft.

"The feeling is incredible. It doesn't feel like reality," Jakučionis told NBC6 on Friday. "I'm so happy and grateful to be in this position, to have this opportunity. Right now is just the beginning, and everything starts from new now, so I can't wait to get started."

The 19-year-old who hails from Vilnius, Lithuania, had a breakout season in his year long stint playing at Illinois.

His impact was imminent, leading the team in scoring and assists, averaging 15 points and 4.7 assists per game. Additionally, the freshman ranked third on the team in rebounds averaging 5.7.
