(BLACK AND GOLD NATION) - Rookie kicker Ben Sauls had an opportunity last week against Tampa Bay to put the Steelers ahead in the second half but missed in his lone field goal attempt. This week against Carolina, Sauls was solid, making all four field goals in the Pittsburgh's 19-10 win.
The Pitt product's first field goal tied the game at 10 as time expired in the first half. He then booted ones from 50, 49 and 28 yards. Sauls wasn't the only Steeler to have a bounce back performance.
Skylar Thompson rebounded from his shaky outing against the Buccaneers, completing 11 of 13 passes for 152 yards and a touchdown. Lance McCutcheon caught Pittsburgh's lone touchdown, scoring from 24 yards out.
