KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — Eight East Tennessee schools were named to US News & World Report’s ranking of the best 50 high schools in Tennessee, and one school in Knoxville even broke into the top 10.

The latest list of rankings from US News & World Report ranks schools on a variety of factors, including college readiness (30%), state assessment proficiency (20%), state assessment performance (20%), underserved student performance (10%), college curriculum breadth (10%), and graduation rate (10%). These were then placed on a scorecard.
