After falling behind in the opening minutes, Chelsea dominated West Ham United for a 5-1 win at the London Stadium on Friday, a statement victory for the Blues after a disappointing draw to begin the Premier League season.

Lucas Paquetá got the hosts off to a dream start with a stunning long-range goal for West Ham, but Chelsea tied it up within 10 minutes and added two more in the first 45, taking a 3-1 lead into halftime. The Club World Cup winners scored twice in the second half, furthering the hosts' embarrassment.

West Ham had been crushed 3-0 by newly-promoted Sunderland in the season opener and manager Graham Potter will be under fire after another disappointing performance.

"To concede the goals in the manner we have gives us an impossible task," Potter told Sky Sports. "When they're cheap, like the ones we gave away, we have to do better.

"The team isn't performing as well as we'd like and the results aren't what we want. I have to take that responsibility. We're not getting the most out of the players."

Chelsea's goals came from five different players: João Pedro (15th minute), Pedro Neto (23rd), Enzo Fernández (34th), Moisés Caicedo (54th) and Trevoh Chalobah (58th).

Cole Palmer was scratched from Chelsea's lineup just minutes before kickoff, replaced by 18-year-old Estêvão making his first Premier League start.

Here's how Friday's match unfolded:

Trevoh Chalobah goal! Rout is on in London

That's three goals off corner kicks for Chelsea, who now lead 5-1 in the 59th minute. West Ham was unable to clear and the ball bounced around the six-yard box, ending up with Chalobah who slotted it past Mads Hermansen.

West Ham is in shambles and fans are heading for the exits at the London Stadium as this one has turned into a bloodbath since the Hammers took a 1-0 lead just six minutes in.

Moisés Caicedo goal! Chelsea leads 4-1

West Ham goalkeeper Mads Hermansen fumbled a corner kick and put the ball right at the toe of Moisés Caicedo, who poked in Chelsea's fourth goal of the night in the 54th minute.

A horrible blunder by Hermansen, who managed to get two hands on the ball but seemingly decide whether to catch the ball or punch it away.

HALFTIME: Chelsea 3, West Ham 1

After falling behind on Lucas Paqueta’s stunning goal in the sixth minute, Chelsea came roaring back to score three goals in the span of 20 minutes and take a 3-1 lead into halftime against West Ham at the London Stadium.

Joao Pedro, Pedro Neto and Enzo Fernandez were the goalscorers for Chelsea.

Having been beaten 3-0 by Sunderland last weekend, West Ham has now been outscored 6-1 the season. The Hammers were booed off the field after the whistle brought the first half to a close.

Enzo Fernandez goal! Chelsea up 3-1

It's been a wild first half in London, with Enzo Hernandez scoring Chelsea's third goal in 20 minutes, tapping home a pass across the face of goal from 18-year-old Estêvão in the 34th minute.

Chelsea has been ruthless, scoring with three of their first four shots on target.

Pedro Neto goal! Chelsea leads 2-1

Chelsea flipped the game on its head in a span of 10 minutes, with Pedro Neto scoring to give the Blues a 2-1 lead in the 23rd minute. After a sloppy West Ham giveaway, Neto got on the end of a cross from João Pedro, hammering it past goalkeeper Mads Hermansen.

João Pedro goal! Chelsea makes it 1-1

João Pedro scored his first Premier League goal for Chelsea, heading home a corner kick in the 15th minute to tie it up at London Stadium.

Pedro, signed from Brighton over the summer, scored two goals in the semifinal of the Club World Cup and added another in the win over PSG in the final.

Lucas Paquetá goal! West Ham leads 1-0

West Ham's No. 10 scored a stunning goal in the sixth minute, striking from about 25 yards out to beat Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sánchez at the far post.

The Brazilian midfielder picked up the ball near midfield but was never closed down by a defender, ultimately letting it fly with his left foot.

Cole Palmer replaced in lineup, West Ham-Chelsea kicks off

The match is underway at London Stadium, with West Ham wearing their traditional claret kits and Chelsea debuting their new black alternate uniforms.

Cole Palmer was scratched minutes before the game, replaced by 18-year-old Estêvão, who makes his first Premier League start for Chelsea.

Chelsea transfer rumors: Nicolas Jackson on the way out?

Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson will sit out Friday's trip to West Ham United despite being available pending a possible transfer, manager Enzo Maresca said on Thursday.

The 24-year-old Senegal international has been linked with Aston Villa, a move that would reunite the player with Unai Emery, his former manager at Villarreal.

"He is available, but he's not going to be part of the squad," Maresca told reporters. "We have two strikers, we have two players in that position and also we know that something can happen before the transfer window closes."

Maresca said he was focused on preparations for the game at the London Stadium and did not know how close a move for Jackson might be. The Premier League transfer window closes on September 1.
