KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — The Knoxville Police Department is investigating after a video began circulating online from an arrest that happened Thursday night on Woodbine Avenue.

The video, which was shared on Facebook, appears to show Knoxville police arresting someone who appears to be resisting. In the video, officers can be seen moving the cuffed person over to the other police car and slamming them down. A woman approaches the scene, and an officer first stands in her way. Then the video appears to show the officer striking the woman, who then falls to the ground with the officer getting on top to restrain her.
