Sunset Palliative Care is in the final stretch of its ninth annual Rainbow Auction, a major fundraiser designed to enhance end-of-life care in the community.

Proceeds from this year’s event will send 21 local healthcare aides, nurses, and volunteers to the provincial palliative care conference in Winnipeg on Sept. 18 and 19.

“They bring back all that knowledge to their coworkers as well,” said Aldene Moroz, executive director of Sunset Palliative Care. “We fully pay for everybody to go.”

The conference features speakers from across Canada, offering attendees valuable insights and training in the field.

Residents can support the cause by purchasing auction tickets at the Herman Prior Activity Centre. Tickets are available Monday to Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and on Thursday, Aug
