DILLON COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) -- A person was killed Friday evening when their vehicle traveled off the road, hit a ditch and a tree in Dillon County, the South Carolina Highway Patrol said.
The crash happened at about 7:30 p.m. on Harllees Bridge Road near Oscar Drive, according to Master Trooper Mitchell Ridgeway. It happened about 14 miles north of Dillon.
The driver, whose name was not immediately available, was traveling in a 2004 Dodge pickup south on Harllees Bridge Road when they went off the left of the road, hitting a ditch before continuing and hitting a tree, Ridgeway said. The driver died at the scene.
