On Saturday at 6:33 a.m. the National Weather Service released an extreme heat warning in effect until Monday at 8 p.m. for Eastern Curry County and Josephine County and Jackson County.
The weather service says, "Very hot conditions with high temperatures of 100 to 107 degrees expected. Overnight low temperatures of 60 to 70 degrees."
"Unusually hot temperatures will increase risk for heat related illnesses. Warm overnight temperatures will provide little relief from hot daytime temperatures," comments the weather service.
