AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - The Boots vs. Badges softball game benefitting two Amarillo organizations was held tonight at Hodgetown.

“Man, we’re having a great time out here at the 17th annual Boots versus Badges game. This started years ago when I was still at Coffee Memorial Blood Center as a way to honor the first responders in appreciation for their help with our blood drive,” said Suzanne Talley, executive director for the 100 Club of Amarillo. “Who knew it would catch on and we would have a crowd at Hodgetown of about 4,000 people here?”

Firefighters played head-to-head with law enforcement in a 10-inning matchup at Hodgetown Stadium.
