CHANNING, Texas (KFDA) - Channing High School is launching a new robotics program.

“The program started when I first started,” said Brenda Flanagan, technology teacher at Channing High School. “I have some computer science that have been coding very well in CodeHS. However, when I got to them, they were a little bit over it.”

That’s when Flanagan decided to introduce them to something that she says was more innovative.

“Because basically, computer science is not just about coding. It’s about designing. It’s about creating. It’s about making it come alive,” said Flanagan.

GMC sponsored the school for their first couple of robots as the program got started.
