Edinburgh residents are set to see the city battered with rain over five days, as the Festival Fringe comes to an end.

After a long stretch of warmer weather and sunnier skies, showers will move in from Tuesday, August 26. This comes after highs of 26C on Monday, with clear skies from 6am until 7pm.

Into Tuesday, the rain will begin from around 4am and stretch into the afternoon. We can expect temperatures of around 17C, according to the Met Office.

Similar conditions are forecast for Wednesday, with showers between midday and 4pm and temperatures peaking at 18C. On Thursday, showers will be over the city from 10am until around 5pm.
