SAN FRANCISCO—On August 20, the San Francisco Fire Department reported that firefighters responded to a two-alarm fire early on the 1300 block of 47th Avenue.

The fire impacted three homes, originating in a three-story balloon-frame residence. Crews rescued three people—one who jumped from a window—and a cat from the blaze.

Due to heavy fire activity, operations shifted from an interior to exterior attack. The fire was contained at 7:01 a.m. and under control by 7:54 a.m. There were no additional details about the fire reported to the public.
