HOUSTON (KIAH) — According to reports, the League City Police Department responded to a shooting call in the 2500 block of Attwater Way around 1:11 a.m. Officers arrived on scene and found a male victim with multiple gunshot wounds. The shooter was identified as Mark Anthony Gonzalez, 32, and taken into custody.

The initial investigation revealed that an argument occurred between the victim and a woman identified as his girlfriend, who then called a Uber to leave the scene. The Uber arrived later and Gonzalez was the assigned driver.

A confrontation happened between the two men, leading to Gonzalez shooting the victim, who was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.

Gonzalez has been charged with Aggravated Assault on a $100,000 bond.
