The American Heart Association hosted its 4th Chicago Women in Media Luncheon at RPM Seafood Aug. 14. First launched in 2017, this gathering brings together women from Chicago’s rich and diverse media outlets to discuss critical health issues and explore the best avenues to bring awareness to women's cardiovascular disease and other heart-related issues.

This year’s program covered multiple topics, such as barriers to healthy living, mental health, social determinants of health and the Nation of Lifesavers, an initiative whose mission is to double survival rates of cardiac arrest by 2030.

The luncheon continues to be a cornerstone for strengthening longstanding media partnerships, building new connections and driving impactful coverage that amplifies the American Heart Association’
