ATHOL, Idaho — All “GO” evacuation orders for the Sunset Fire have been lifted, effective immediately, according to Bonner County Sheriff Daryl Wheeler.

Several roads in and around Talache have been downgraded to “SET” status.

As residents begin returning to the area, officials urge caution. Fire crews remain active in the region, continuing mop-up operations and ensuring public safety.

“We ask everyone to be mindful of the firefighters who are still working in the area,” Wheeler said.

Residents are encouraged to consult the updated evacuation map for specific road information.
