Just days after taking the stage as Simon in “Jesus Christ Superstar” at the Hollywood Bowl, Tyrone Huntley was back doing his regular gig at the venue: ushering people to their seats.

Like many L.A. performers, even those who may get a big break, Huntley has to cobble together work to make ends meet. The hustle has been exacerbated by L.A.’s entertainment industry struggles, both on screen and on stage.

Originally from the U.K., Huntley flies back and forth to take theater and TV gigs across the pond while still striving to make it in Hollywood.

By day, he helps audience members find their seats. By night, he’s onstage, commanding them. For actor Tyrone Huntley, the hustle is part of the role in Los Angeles.
