Do you go to yard sales? Do you cruise neighbourhoods looking for bargains? The snow melts, and come the Victoria Day weekend, there is a flurry of garage sale signs. It can continue sporadically throughout the summer and even on a fair-weather Saturday in the autumn.
It can be a fun activity, but it can be an addictive habit and potentially even lead to a house full of not just your stuff but quantities of things that once belonged to others. It can be seen in many ways as a redistribution of goods. If you have a kid along, be aware that that toonie will win them a bag full of toys and trinkets, and it is all coming to your house.
