KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Missouri Department of Revenue is reminding taxpayers, businesses and consumers of a tax exemption that goes into effect this week.
Beginning Thursday, Aug. 28, sales of the following products will be exempt from both state and local sales and use taxes: • Child and adult diapers • Qualifying feminine hygiene products (including, but not limited to, tampons, pads, liners and cups, as well as menstrual discs or washable "period underwear") • Incontinence products (protective undergarments, pads, liners, external catheters and underpads)
