Mobile County is steering economic development incentives toward local businesses, approving $2.25 million for three established companies in the area with upcoming expansion projects.
Incentive packages were awarded Monday morning, Aug. 25, to South Mobile County shipbuilders Master Boat Builders and Birdon America and steel manufacturer AM/NS Calvert, who collectively are expected to add more than 345 permanent jobs while bringing $1.2 billion in private investment to the county.
