PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – A raccoon is keeping its paws to itself after getting one caught in a fence, officials announced Monday afternoon.

The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife responded to the scene and safely removed the raccoon’s paw from the fence. The officer on scene said the animal was not hurt in the process.

“The raccoon did not appear to be injured -- other than perhaps his pride, or his feelings for whoever left him hanging on a high five on the other side,” officials said. • (Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife) • (Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife)
