KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — The Knox County Sheriff's Office is beginning a series of large-scale training exercises to help deputies better respond to emergencies in our area.

KCSO partnered with Rural Metro, American Medical Response, Sevier Heights Church, and the Knox County District Attorney's Office for crash scene training. During the training, two staged, crashed vehicles were used to mimic a serious collision with injuries. All of the agencies worked together to respond to the crash and learn how they can best work together to help save lives and get justice.

Lieutenant Chris Allison with the Knox County Sheriff's Office traffic division explained that they train constantly to make sure that officers do not forget what to do at a crime scene and know who is doing what between law
