EAGAN, Minn. — The Minnesota Vikings are sending cornerback Mekhi Blackmon to the Indianapolis Colts for a 2026 sixth-round pick, according to team officials.
The team announced the trade Monday, one day before the team makes its final cuts to get down to 53 players.
Blackmon, a third-round pick out of USC in 2023, missed all of last season with a torn ACL he suffered in the first practice of 2024 training camp. He returned this summer healthy and has participated in camp and preseason. He led the team with five tackles in the first preseason game against the Houston Texans.
The deal won't be completed until Blackmon passes a physical.
Blackmon appeared in 15 games his rookie season, including three starts, recording 41 tackles, eight passes defensed, one interception and one fumble
