CLINTONVILLE, Wis. (WFRV) - A Madison priest has been arrested after allegedly arranging to meet a 14-year-old girl in Clintonville for sex.

Police say 37-year-old Andrew J. Showers of Madison was taken into custody on Sunday evening, August 24, around 7:30 p.m. Officers say he had traveled to Clintonville to meet the teen.

Showers was booked into the Waupaca County jail on charges of child enticement, use of a computer to facilitate a child sex crime, and attempted second-degree sexual assault of a child.

The Waupaca County District Attorney's Office is reviewing the case and will decide on formal charges.
