PATERSON, N.J. (PIX11) – A boil water advisory remains in effect for residents of the Borough of Prospect Park, parts of Paterson, Haledon, and North Haledon.
Over the weekend, a 42-inch water main ruptured on North 1st and Arch Streets.
Monday afternoon, the Passaic Valley Water Commission announced it had isolated the damaged section of pipeline and restored water flow to Riverside customers. Much of Fair Lawn had running water again by Monday evening.
Just two weeks ago, on Aug. 8, residents of Paterson and Haledon were again dealing with no water after a water main break near Hinchcliffe Stadium.
Yani Batista told PIX11 News it's "ridiculous" to deal with this all in the span of a month. “We pay so much in taxes on houses, you know?” said Batista.
