(NewsNation) — The Menendez brothers' attorney Mark Geragos believes their parole board hearings were "rigged."

Geragos joined "CUOMO" days after both Erik and Lyle Menendez were denied parole for three years, at which time they will be eligible for another hearing.

He suggested that if the pair were not named "Menendez," they would already be out.

"One of the ironies of this is, for Lyle, they called him, his parole commissioner, called him a model inmate, but said he broke the rules with cellphones," Geragos said. "Then, for Erik, they were focused on all of the stuff that happened more than 10 years ago, as opposed to what he's done in the last 10 years.
