TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — After weeks of deliberations and public hearings, the City of Twin Falls has passed its budget for the upcoming fiscal year.

The council unanimously approved the nearly $100 million budget, with one council member absent.

Personnel costs account for most of the budget, which will go into effect on Oct. 1st.

City Manager Travis Rothweiler said the budget aims to help adequately fund the city as it continues to project population and revenue growth.

“You are seeing it every single day,” Rothweiler said. “Whether it be the maintenance we continue to grow upon, we understand there are some incredible inconveniences associated with road construction. There’s also a very small window of time in which we confirm them.”
