Boston, MBTA look to set up dedicated trolley/bus lanes on Huntington, South Huntington avenues

Streetsblog Mass reports the T and the city have reached basic agreement on a plan that would re-do Huntington and South Huntington avenues to create a dedicated transitway - to be shared by both trolleys and buses - between Heath Street and Brigham Circle, which they say will speed up service, reduce the odds of pedestrians getting flattened at stop and make the line accessible to the new, longer trolleys the T hopes to start running. The changes would also include eliminating the Back of the Hill and Fenwood Road stops.
