VISALIA, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - A man accused of driving under the influence crashed into a vehicle and a Carl's Jr. on Monday night in Visalia, the city's police department said.
Officers say they arrested 30-year-old Brandon Smith following a suspected DUI crash with another vehicle and a Carl's Jr. restaurant.
An officer heard the sound of a collision near Main Street and Ben Maddox Way at around 8:40 p.m. Police say that further investigation revealed that Smith, who was driving a white GMC truck under the influence of alcohol, failed to stop at a red light at the intersection and slammed into a silver Toyota minivan traveling east on Main Street.
The truck continued and crashed into the southwest corner of Carl's Jr. Nobody reported injuries.
