A man from London who used to sing while mopping toilet floors in a bar has performed at London's prestigious Royal Albert Hall, going from gospel choirs in Nigeria to karaoke nights in Edinburgh before getting his big break.
James Emmanuel, 35, was born and raised in Nigeria and moved to Edinburgh after the death of his father in 2012, looking to the UK for the next chapter of his life. On arrival in the Scottish capital, without connections or a plan, he took a job mopping floors and cleaning toilets in a bar.
