A Dexter man received a three-decades-long prison sentence Friday, nearly a year after a jury found him guilty on 14 felony counts in connection with a 2022 armed robbery and kidnapping.

Electronic court records indicated that District Judge Thomas Lilley sentenced Christopher Franco, 39, to a total of 30 years in prison. The counts that Franco was convicted of include two counts each of kidnapping and battery. He was also found guilty on one count each of armed robbery, conspiracy to commit armed robbery, unlawful taking of a motor vehicle, conspiracy to commit unlawful taking of a motor vehicle, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, conspiracy to commit aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and extortion, as well as a misdemeanor count of conspiracy to commit extortion.
