The bodies of more than a dozen people killed in shootings and Israeli strikes arrived at Shifa Hospital in Gaza City early on Sunday, officials said.
Since Saturday afternoon and overnight, 29 bodies were brought to Shifa Hospital, according to hospital authorities.
The hospital said 10 people were reported to be killed in the Zikim area, where trucks with aid cross from Israel into northern Gaza, while 19 were killed in strikes in different areas of Gaza City.
On Friday Israel declared the entire Gaza City a "combat zone" and warned its residents to move south of the Strip.
In the last weeks the strikes and attacks have intensified as the army offensive advances.
More than 63,300 Palestinians have been killed since the war started, the Gaza Health Ministry said.
The ministry’s count does not distinguish between fighters and civilians but says around half have been women and children.
The ministry is part of the Hamas-run government and staffed by medical professionals.
The U.N. and independent experts consider it the most reliable source on war casualties. Israel disputes its figures but has not provided its own.
Hamas-led militants abducted 251 people and killed around 1,200 people, mostly civilians, in the October 7 attack on southern Israel that triggered the war.
Most of the hostages have been released in ceasefires or other deals. Of the nearly 50 hostages remaining in Gaza, Israel believes around 20 are alive.
