French-Asian bakery rising at former car dealership in Chesterfield

A chain of bakeries that already has a local presence is whipping up a new location in Chesterfield.

Tous Les Jours is planning to open in a former car dealership at 7401 Midlothian Turnpike.

The French-Asian bakery that sells breads, cakes and pastries as well as coffee and tea is planning to expand the building to 4,200 square feet from its current 2,900 square feet. That’s according to a floor plan that was posted in the building’s window last week, which identified the project as a Tous Les Jours.

The bakery would have indoor dining and patio seating. An addition to the rear of the building would house the bakery’s kitchen.

It was unclear when the bakery would open. It also wasn’t clear who would operate the Chesterfield outpost of Tous Les Jour
