LINN COUNTY, Iowa (KCRG) - A person of interest has been taken into custody after an overnight stabbing in Linn County on Wednesday.
The Linn County Sheriff’s Office says it got a call at 12:52 am Wednesday for a disturbance on Franklin St. in Center Point.
At the scene, deputies found a 36-year-old from Center Point with serious knife wounds. The individual is expected to survive.
30-year-old Riley Young had left the scene before deputies arrived.
Investigators say they believe the incident was a targeted attack and that the public is not in danger.
At approximately 12:27 p.m. Thursday, Young turned himself in at the Linn County Sheriff’s Office.
He will be charged with first-degree burglary, willful injury causing bodily injury, and criminal mischief.
