The Erie Center for Arts and Technology , often referred to as ECAT, looked inside the organization when the board hired a new executive director.

Jude Shingle, who joined ECAT as arts program director in 2021 and served recently as the organization's interim executive director, has been named to that post on a permanent basis.

Shingle will be the third person to fill that role. He follows Kate Neubert-Lechner, who served as executive director from January of 2024 until June of this year when she started a new position with Make-A-Wish Greater Pennsylvania and West Virginia .
