Coronation Street viewers are speculating that a beloved character may be making a return as Asha Alahan's life continues to unravel.

Asha, currently portrayed by Tanisha Gorey, has been a constant presence on the soap since her on-screen birth in 2009. As the offspring of Dev (Jimmi Harkishin) and Sunita (Shobna Gulati), Asha has won over the hearts of viewers.

She has also been at the centre of numerous significant storylines. From grappling with body image issues to training as a paramedic, her stint in Weatherfield has been anything but dull.

Particularly this week, when not only did her brother Aadi (Adam Hussain) depart from the street, but a special episode depicted the distressing and heart-wrenching experiences Asha had to face while on duty.
