MANASSAS, Va. (DC News Now) -- The Manassas City Police Department is investigating after a person was injured during a shooting over the weekend.

The shooting broke out just before 1:30 a.m. on Aug. 23 in the 8900 block of Center Street. There, officers located evidence and a person who had been injured.

They were taken to the hospital and were listed in stable condition, according to police.

Following the shooting, Manassas City officers canvassed the area for evidence, and detectives are actively investigating their findings.
