TELL CITY, Ind. (WEVV) — A southern Indiana city will wait at least one year before considering proposing a tax for drivers.

Tell City Common Council members had considered a proposal for a new wheel tax for city drivers.

During Monday's meeting, many residents attended to voice their opinions about adding the fee for vehicles.

After hearing from the community, commissioners voted to table the proposed rate for one year to see if the state or federal government will make changes to funding.
