UTICA, NY (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) -- No Kid Hungry -- a non-profit dedicated to fighting childhood hunger -- is reminding New Yorkers to apply for summer benefits before the deadline.

In a statement released on Tuesday, August 26, the organization reminded New York Families to check their eligibility for Summer EBT. The program will close to applicants on Thursday, September 4. The program has already provided approximately $250 million in grocery benefits to more than two million children across the state.
