A man who was identified as a person of interest after human remains were found in a storage unit in The Dalles, Oregon, was arrested Monday in Berthoud on a separate warrant.

The Dalles Police Department responded to the storage unit on July 29 after a caller reported a suspicious circumstance, according to a department press release . The man, Richard Robinson, was arrested by the United States Marshall’s Service in Berthoud on a warrant for failing to register as a sex offender, according to Larimer County Jail records.

The Mid-Columbia Major Crimes Team also responded to the call and the human remains were later identified as Mid-Columbia woman Meihong He, the press release stated.
