Some Blue Bell Ice Cream is being recalled in more than a dozen states, including Mississippi, due to a potentially deadly reaction for some consumers, the Texas-based company announced.

According to a release from the Food and Drug Administration, which posted the company's announcement as a public service on Friday, Aug. 22, a Blue Bell Creameries employee discovered incorrect packaging labels on some of the product "while restocking a retailer."

Blue Bell is voluntarily recalling Moo-llennium Crunch Ice Cream half gallon packaged in a Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough carton produced in its Brenham, Texas, plant because of undeclared almond, walnut and pecan, according to a report by USA Today writer Natalie Neysa Alund.
