According to Aaron Wilson, the Detroit Lions are waiving defensive back Morice Norris.

It’s obviously a really tough break for Norris, who entering training camp in competition for one of the reserve safety spots. Norris had the versatility to play nickel cornerback, as well.

However, in the Lions’ second preseason game against the Atlanta Falcons, Norris suffered a scary brain injury, with his head colliding with Falcons running back Nathan Carter. Norris appeared to lose consciousness and was forced to be taken off the field in an ambulance.

The good news for Norris is that he returned to the team and even appeared close to returning to practice last week. During the team’s final training camp practice, Norris was suited up with pads and a helmet and working with a trainer. So it appe
