AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Richmond County’s newly elected school superintendent has big plans for the future of our local schools.
Dr. Malinda Cobb was chosen by the school board earlier this month to lead the school district after she led the way as interim for more than seven months.
Dr.Cobb first moved to the Augusta area in 2001 and has been a part of the community ever since, getting to know students, parents and staff in the many different roles she has had.
Now that she is superintendent, she says some of those students are now teachers in the district, showing how important the school district is not only to her but to the community.
