Two local Walgreens locations are scheduled to close in September, part of a company "turn-around strategy" announced in October 2024 to close 1,200 stores through 2027.

The two locations are in Oneonta's East End at 5626 state Route 7, which is set to close Sept. 10, and in Stamford at 5 Lake St., set to close Sept. 3.
