HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) -- Horry County authorities have charged a sixth person they say is tied to a combined murder and human-trafficking investigation involving 11-year-old A'kyri Bell.
Alexandria Iman Thomas, 20, was arrested Friday and charged with placing a child in her custody or care at risk, as authorities build their case against a half-dozen people connected to the larger murder and human-trafficking case.
Bell died on June 13 at a Carolina Forest hospital from head injuries, after being taken there from a Sago Palm Drive home, authorities said. Warrants say she was unresponsive when paramedics arrived at the home.
Authorities arrested Camisha McGaskey, 31, on June 18 and charged her with obstruction of justice. The charges were later upgraded to murder, five counts of huma
