OLD BRIDGE, N.J. (PIX11) -- He's called a miracle dog

"He's a cute little fella," said State Senator Owen Henry (R-12th District).

This miracle is a 2-year-old Bichon Frise named Winston, now living his best life.

"He's a bundle of joy," said Winston.

He's come a long way from where he was just a few months ago; in January, on one of the coldest nights of the year, Winston was put in a dumpster in an apartment complex and left in the cold for 11 hours.

"It would have been a tragic ending for him," said Henry. "His life was spared that day for a reason."

A maintenance worker heard his cries and was able to save him. Police were able to identify the man who left Winston in the dumpster.
