SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — Ruth Jordan, a San Angelo woman who is a recipient of the Governor's Lifetime Achievement award, will be honored with a flag rededication and raising ceremony soon.

The public is openly invited to celebrate Jordan's achievements with the State Park and for being a dedicated community leader. She is also a retired teacher and has been active with many organizations in the Concho Valley.

The ceremony will take place at 9:30 a.m. on September 8 at the San Angelo State Park. Representative Drew Darby will be in attendance, and he also donated the flag that will be flown in Jordan's honor.
