COLUMBIA COUNTY, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Columbia County has started a Water Quality Task Force to address issues of discolored water and water pressure fluctuations.
The county says the task force is dedicated to identifying the causes of the discoloration, responding to complaints, and implementing improvements to prevent future issues.
The task force will have experts from water treatment, distribution, laboratory services, asset management, and utility management.
It will be housed at the Columbia County government building on Ronald Reagan Drive in Evans.
The county will also dedicate a phone line for water quality concerns, 706-863-6928, and shared information about the plan for improving water quality.
