Vinny Lovegrove and Tom Poitras sang about potato chips, dirty laundry and what it’s like to do the car seat shuffle. They blew enormous bubbles, led a sing-along and opined on chores. Out on the lawn at Westport Woods Friday afternoon, dozens of kids ate up every bit of it.
The Marion-based duo, who for 25 years have performed together as the Toe Jam Puppet Band , closed out the Westport Land Conservation Trust ’s summer-long “Nature’s Stage” free concert series, which was funded by the Helen E. Ellis Charitable Trust and administered by the Westport Community Gift Fund and Bank of America.
